I can say that because I use Amember software to manage my affiliates. So my program creates a database level connection between a new client and the referring affiliate. So when that customer buys again . . . you get the credit.
Active Promotion Exception: If a customer you’ve referred acts on another affiliate’s promotion, that affiliate will earn that commission – including recurring commissions if the purchase is a membership. However, this does not impact any of your own recurring membership commissions or other sales the customer makes without clicking on an affiliate link.
